Cornell Lab Of Ornithology Is Cornell University worth attending to obtain a wildlife biology/ecology/management degree?

Question by : Is Cornell University worth attending to obtain a wildlife biology/ecology/management degree?
Some Highlights:
-Cornell Lab of Ornithology
-Shoals Marine Laboratory

Cornell offers research opportunities but I feel that I can gain the same experience in other schools like the University of Vermont (Dept. of Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources) or from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. As a wildlife biologist I will probably have a low salary. I feel like I would never pay back my loans…

Does anyone know any ways Cornell’s wildlife programs stand out among these other schools’ programs? Please let me know if you do (in terms of research opportunities like bird surveys, connections with U.S. Fish and Wildlife and certification from the Wildlife Society).

Just get a basic marketable degree in Biological Sciences.

Leave the weepy liberal tree-hugging penguin-cuddling affectations until after you establish a non-parasitical, socially-useful career with actual earnings.
